Skin By Suluka is a distinctive, self-contained, cozy home salon situated in Bateau Bay on the stunning Central Coast. Our salon is fresh, young, and exceptional, and since we opened our doors in January 2020, we have been thrilled by the positive feedback from our new and loyal clients.

Jen, the owner and beauty therapist of Skin By Suluka, bravely took her first paying client on January 10th, 2020. She made a life-changing decision to pursue a Diploma in Beauty Therapy and quit her full-time job in less than 48 hours. Although some might consider this a hasty choice, Jen knew it was the right path for her. Despite juggling multiple jobs and studying full-time, she worked hard to manifest her dream of creating Skin By Suluka. Her dedication paid off, and the first 12 months were incredibly rewarding for her and the business.

After opening in January 2020 and closing briefly in March due to the pandemic, Skin By Suluka received continuous support from the Fresh Faced Community through social media and online purchases. When the salon reopened on July 1st, it quickly gained popularity, with 250 Fresh Faces visiting in a short time. However, with 80% of the community being return clients, it became increasingly difficult to fit everyone into the schedule. After a lot of consideration, Jen made the tough decision to close her books to new clients on July 10th, only 10 days after reopening.

Looking back on their first year, Skin By Suluka has flourished into an amazing Fresh Faced Community, with over 200 clients in the beauty therapist system. On February 1st, 2021, the salon reopened its books to welcome new clients. Jen and her team continue to engage with over 5k+ Fresh Faces through social media and grow the community daily.

Jen acknowledges that her dream would not have materialized without the unwavering support of her reliable friends and family. However, she is particularly grateful for the Fresh Faced Community who put their trust in her, supported her through a global pandemic, and continue to choose Skin By Suluka for their Skin Journey. Jen expresses her amazement every day and feels incredibly fortunate.

Moving forward to the present, Skin By Suluka is now in its fourth year of business. The private self-contained studio is both unique and cozy and offers a beautiful range of incredible skin and body treatments. From relaxation to results, the salon has continued to grow in many ways. Not only has the skin treatment menu grown from four treatments to twenty-four, Skin By Suluka now offers a diverse range of skincare, self-care, and beauty products with over 100 precisely selected items for you to choose from to assist with your ongoing results.

With amazing support over the past four years, Jen grew rapidly and did her best to accommodate everyone on her own but come mid-2022, she hired her first employee, followed shortly by a second in May 2023. Skin By Suluka has now become an incredible team of three, each possessing distinct talents to offer. You can have confidence that no matter which therapist you choose, our highly trained staff will provide excellent care.

Discovering something you truly love is an amazing experience. The saying "if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life" is absolutely true. I used to be sceptical, but now I wake up every day excited to meet new people and build genuine connections with each fresh face that enters my door. It's a feeling that's difficult to put into words, but it's so fulfilling and wholesome. I wish everyone could experience it.
